How the papal blessing works

A St. John Paul II relic rosary strung with purple Venetian Murrina glass, each bead patterned with small white flowers around a red center.

  • Beads: Purple and red Venetian Murrina glass
  • Centerpiece: Image of Our Lady the Virgin Mary, with silver-tone crucifix
  • Relic: Medal with an ex-indumentis relic of his tunic
  • Blessing: Blessed by Pope Leo XIV
  • Holy card: Holy card of the Papal blessing included
  • Shipping: Ships from Rome, Italy

Murrina is glasswork with a long memory: colored canes are layered, stretched, and sliced so the same pattern blooms in every cross-section. The technique appeared in the Middle East some 4,000 years ago and was revived by Venetian glassmakers on Murano in the 16th century.
