How the papal blessing works

Second-class relic (ex indumentis)

A tiny piece of fabric from the clothing of St. Padre Pio, sealed in the card.

Relics are never sold: you pay for the item, and the relic comes with it as a gift.

This card holds a small relic of St. Padre Pio in the window on the front, with the seal of the Capuchin Postulator General in Rome on the back.

This reverent holy card features a touching sepia-toned photograph of St. Padre Pio in his Capuchin habit, tenderly cradling a small lamb in his arms—a powerful symbol of the Good Shepherd's care and the saint's own compassionate ministry. The warm, vintage photography captures the gentle spirit of this beloved mystic, showing him in a moment of tender connection with God's creatures. Below the image, elegant text identifies him as "San Pio da Pietrelcina, Cappuccino," with his birth and death dates (May 25, 1887 - September 23, 1968) and locations noted.

The reverse side presents the "Preghiera per le vocazioni" (Prayer for Vocations), a beautiful Italian prayer invoking Christ through Mary's intercession for those called to priesthood and religious life. The prayer card bears the signature of Pope John Paul II and includes contact information for the Convento Frati Cappuccini and the Servizio Animazione Vocazionale. At the bottom, charming illustrations of St. Padre Pio and a postal seal add authentic Italian character to this devotional keepsake.

St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, one of the most beloved saints of the 20th century, bore the stigmata for fifty years and was renowned for his gifts of bilocation, healing, reading of souls, and profound spiritual counsel. His life of prayer, suffering united to Christ, and tireless ministry in the confessional drew countless souls closer to God. This holy card is particularly meaningful for those discerning vocations, seminarians, religious, and all devotees of this humble Capuchin friar.

This devotional card is made in Italy, the homeland of St. Padre Pio's extraordinary ministry at San Giovanni Rotondo. Standard holy card size makes it perfect for prayer books, wallets, or daily devotional use.

This piece has been blessed by Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter's Square.
