The cover photograph is disarming: Pio cradling a statue of the Christ Child, a nod to his famous Christmas devotion at Midnight Mass. The Beato title dates the card to the years between 1999 and 2002, before "Saint" replaced it for good — a detail collectors of Pio ephemera will recognize at once.
