The pieces on this page are chosen for that moment, and most are blessed by Pope Leo XIV at the Papal audience in St. Peter's Square and shipped from Rome with a holy card of the Papal blessing.
The Sorrowful Mother cross shows Mary, who stood at the foot of the cross and knows grief from the inside. It comes in several sizes and colors, from 1" crosses to wear to 3" crosses to keep on a nightstand. For families who pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the dead, there is a Divine Mercy metal rosary with a pewter case, and St. Faustina Kowalska holy cards and a bracelet with her relic, as well as a reliquary medal that holds a second-class relic (ex indumentis, from the saint's clothing). The Chaplet of Deceased Priests is a fitting gift when a priest has died.
A practical note: delivery to the US typically takes 2 to 3 weeks, so the gift will usually arrive after the funeral. Many families find that welcome, in the quieter weeks when the visits have stopped and the grief is still there.
