One of the oldest Catholic sacramentals, worn for protection against evil. The letters are the initials of Latin prayers: on the cross, Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux (May the holy cross be my light); around the edge, Vade Retro Satana (Begone, Satan).
This exquisitely detailed Small St. Benedict Ornate Crucifix is a true treasure from Rome, crafted with baroque elegance and spiritual depth. Measuring just 3 cm x 2 cm (1 1/8"), it is the perfect size for rosary making, adding as a devotional pendant, or carrying as a discreet yet powerful spiritual companion.
The crucifix features an elaborate filigree design surrounding the St. Benedict Medal, both front and back, symbolizing protection, faith, and deliverance from evil. A favorite among rosary makers, this crucifix is both a sacred sacramental and a beautiful artistic statement.
Each crucifix comes directly from Rome, and can be personally blessed upon request during a Papal audience in St. Peter’s Square, enhancing its spiritual value.
We have a few crosses in stock blessed by Pope Francis.
