This page gathers their medals, relics and sacramentals in one place.
St. Raphael the Archangel, whose name means "God heals", is here in 925 sterling silver. Padre Pio, who spent his life with the sick and founded a hospital, comes in many relic medals carrying a second-class relic (ex indumentis, from the saint's clothing), and in oil touched to his shrine. There are relic medals of St. Rita of Cascia, holy cards with a relic of St. Leopold Mandić, and medals of St. Charbel, St. Lucy, St. Gerard and Saints Cosmas and Damian, the physician martyrs.
From Lourdes come medals and rosaries with a relic touched to the spring water of the Lourdes grotto. You will also find holy water and holy oil blessed by Pope Leo XIV, a gentle way to pray at a bedside. Items marked as blessed are taken from our shop in Rome to the Papal audience in St. Peter's Square and ship with a holy card of the Papal blessing. For prayers and stories of these saints, see the posts below or find a patron saint by cause.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the patron saint of the sick?
Several saints are invoked for the sick: St. Raphael the Archangel, Padre Pio, St. Camillus and Our Lady of Lourdes are among the best known. Many families simply pray to the saint they already love.
Is the holy oil the same as the Anointing of the Sick?
No. The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament given by a priest. Holy oil blessed by the Pope is a sacramental for personal prayer, and it does not replace the sacrament or medical care.
What kind of relic is in the Padre Pio medals?
They carry a second-class relic, ex indumentis, a small piece of fabric from the saint's clothing. Each product page states the relic it holds.
Can I send a medal directly to someone in the hospital?
Yes, you can enter their address at checkout. Delivery to the US typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from Rome.
